Alyssa Wisdom is a Texan Native.  She grew up in McKinney Texas where she spent her early dance days training at McKinney Dance Studio and on her High School’s Drill team, The McKinney Marquettes, where she held various leadership roles. Alyssa attended Stephen F. Austin State University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Dance Education with a Minor in Dance Team Coaching. While at Stephen F. Austin, Alyssa danced on the SFA Dance Team for two years, where she earned 3 national titles from National Dance Association (NDA) and Dance Team Union (DTU) in the College Classics category. She also danced in the SFA Repertory Dance Company for one year where she danced in multiple styles of Modern dance and Jazz. In her last semester, Alyssa completed her Student Teaching at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTWHSPVA). After graduating, Alyssa has taught for multiple intensives and studios. She is now head instructor with the Kickin’ It With Rains Company (KIWR), where she helps train and prepare girls to audition for collegiate dance teams from 2020 to present. She was voted “Most Influential Instructor” by the campers during her first summer with KIWR. She also teaches ballet at Kitty Carter’s Dance Factory. This will be Alyssa’s first year with Dance Up Dallas.
